Pack 1365
Who We Are
Cub Scout Pack 1365 is a diverse, welcoming boys-and-girls Cub Scout Pack serving the Lake Ridge community in Woodbridge, Virginia. We welcome children in kindergarten through 5th grade and focus on making Scouting fun, meaningful, and family-friendly.
Our Pack is laid-back, active, and built around hands-on adventure. Scouts explore the outdoors, build confidence, serve their community, make friends, and learn skills they can carry with them for life.
During the school year, we generally meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00–8:00 PM at Lake Ridge Elementary School. Most months include den meetings with Scouts in the same grade level, along with larger Pack meetings or activities where everyone comes together.
Our History
Pack 1365 has been part of the Lake Ridge community since 1985. The Pack was originally chartered by the Knights of Columbus at St. Elizabeth Anne and has been supported over the years by local organizations and families who believed in giving children a positive place to learn, grow, and belong.
While some early Pack records are incomplete, we know the Pack changed charter organizations over time. The Suchanek Family Foundation hosted Pack 1365 from 2015–2017 before the Pack later became chartered by Lake Ridge Elementary School PTO, which continues to support the Pack today.
In 2018, Pack 1365 became a boys-and-girls Cub Scout Pack, welcoming even more families into the Scouting experience.
For more than four decades, Pack 1365 has been shaped by Scouts, parents, volunteers, and community partners who keep showing up for kids. That family-powered spirit is still what makes the Pack special today.
What Pack 1365 Looks Like Today
Today, Pack 1365 is an active Cub Scout Pack with a mix of outdoor adventure, community service, hands-on projects, and classic Cub Scout traditions.
Our regular activities include the Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, Scouting for Food, Occoquan cleanup, other service projects, and two campouts each year. In the fall, we often camp near Luray in the Shenandoah Mountains. In the spring, we typically camp somewhere more local.
Scouts meet in grade-level dens, where they work on age-appropriate adventures, build friendships, and earn awards. Pack meetings bring everyone together for games, recognition, activities, and shared experiences as one Pack family.
A Pack Built by Families
Pack 1365 works because families make it work.
Some parents lead dens. Some help with campouts, activities, advancement, supplies, communications, or special events. Others jump in when they can. No one has to do everything, but every helping hand makes the Pack stronger.
We also believe fees should never stand in the way of a child participating in Scouting. Families can always reach out if cost is a concern.
At its heart, Pack 1365 is a community of families helping kids do their best, have fun, and grow into confident, helpful, and kind young people.

Our 2nd grade Scouts are looking for a leader! The Wolf den is ideally no more than eight Cub Scouts, a den leader, an assistant den leader (usually parents of some of the den members), and often a den chief (an older Scout who helps the den leader). Scouting together through fun, age-appropriate adventures.
