Raingutter Regatta

Ready, set, sail!
The Raingutter Regatta is a classic Cub Scout tradition where Scouts build and decorate their own miniature sailboats, then race them across a water-filled course using nothing but their breath to power the boat toward the finish line.
It's part creativity, part friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun.
Every Scout gets a chance to show off their unique boat design, cheer on friends, and see whose sailing strategy can carry them to victory.
How Does It Work?
Each participating Scout receives a boat kit to assemble and decorate. The design is up to them—creative colors, bold themes, and personal touches are all encouraged.
On race day, boats are placed side by side in water-filled race lanes. Scouts blow on their boat's sail to send it toward the finish line.
No motors. No remote controls. Just Scouts, sails, and plenty of cheering.
Multiple heats give Scouts opportunities to race, and awards may recognize categories such as speed, creativity, and sportsmanship.
What to Know
Boat kits are provided to participating Scouts. Scouts can assemble and decorate their boats before race day and bring their finished creations ready to sail.
Families are encouraged to come cheer on their Scouts and enjoy the fun together.
